City 45 Pierce College 62 The Lady Cubs had their third consecutive great effort but disappointedly fell short to Pierce College in a game played at LA City. LACC entered the game knowing that Pierce was talented but not unbeatable. Part of head coach Bruno Sandoval's game plan was to keep it close in the first half and seek to make a run late in the second half. "Our 3-2 zone gave Pierce some trouble in the first half," said Sandoval. "We managed to keep it close after 20 minutes and only trailed 27-20."

their firepower was too much for the Lady Cubs. |
