Update on the Lady Cubs Posted 2/26/07 The Lady Cubs entered two events in the Cerritos Invitational on Fri., Feb. 23 - the Distance Medley and 800m Sprint Medley. The Distance Medley unit of Maritzela Barakat, Leilani Adu, Alma Ramirez, and Diana Anzora finished 7th place with a time of 16:50.89. Mt. San Antonio College won the event at 12:51.77. LA City's 800-meter Sprint Medley contingent of Adu, Barakat, Ingrid Douglas, and Yazmeen Townsend proved strong and with high potential. Adu had a 200-meter split of 28.2-seconds. No overall time was recorded, however, due to technical difficulties with timing. LA City finished 3rd in the event. |
