Update on the Lady Cubs Posted 3/19/07 The Lady Cubs competed in the Northridge Invitational held at Cal State-Northridge on Sat., March 17. Freshman Yazmeen Townsend faced disappointment in the 200 meters when she was penalized with a "false start." Leilani Adu recorded a time of 65.8 seconds in the Women's 400 meters. Freshman Maritzela Barakat ran a personal best time of 1:43.2 in the Women's 800 meters. Sophomore Alma Ramirez ran in the Women's 3000 meter but failed to finish. Ingrid Douglas entered the shot put competition and finished with a day's best of 7.1 meters (22'8") after three attempts. |
